Christmas Gifts

Before Christmas, a lady I work with asked me to make 2 quilts for her for her children for Christmas. She had some old dresses of her mother in laws and wanted to incorporate them into the quilt along with pictures. Here is the result.....

I decided, after seeing her reaction, to make her one also. I feels good to make something for someone that will truly be treasured.

Finally a Quilt for ME!

I finally took the time to make a quilt for me. The fabric line that I used is Moda's Lilac Hill. Love these colors! The pattern is Jelly Parfait by Fig Tree Quilts. The pattern was written very well and it was fun to put together.
I am having this one quilted. Stay tuned for pics!

Dad's 70th Birthday Present

Wedding Quilt

The bride loves black and white. I found this pattern in a Fons and Porter magazine and a search on the web.

This is the Walmart quilt of the month for April 2009. I fell in love with the fabrics.

I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew on this one. But I finally finished the top. It is the biggest quilt I have ever made at 90 1/2 x 90 1/2. I think I will have to take a break from this one for a while.

I finished this quilt today! I am happy with the way it turned out. I have no idea what I will do with it but it might be just fine on my sofa.

Due to the terrible weather here on Saturday, I stayed home and did a little quilting. I had to order the fabric for the border so I have will have to finish when it comes in....to be continued.

Lastest Project

This is the lastest project that I have been working on. It will be a wallhanging at our fishing cabin. I ready to move on the next quilting project!

This is the first time that I used the quilt basting spray instead of safety pins to put the quilt together.....I will never go back. I love that stuff.

I tried a design in the border for the first time. I really like the way it turned out.

Just finished this quilt for a friend's daughter for a graduation gift. It is a little loud for me but she will love it ( I hope).....

I had scriptures embroidered on a few of the blocks. I think it turned out pretty good.
